Doraemon Makes a Debut in UK!

“Doraemon” will launch its broadcast in the United Kingdom on Monday, August 17. It is currently aired in 37 countries and regions worldwide, but it is going to be the very first broadcast in the UK. The show will air in the Boomerang channel, a cable/satellite channel specializing in children’s programs. It will air every morning from Monday to Friday from 7:30 to 8:00 am, the “prime time for English children before leaving home for school.”

UK will be the seventh country in Europe to broadcast “Doraemon.” It has been aired in Spain where it celebrated the 20th anniversary of its broadcast last year and other European countries including Italy, France and Poland. Besides Europe, the show was launched in North America in July last year and is now getting rapidly popular in developing countries like Mongolia, Cambodia, Bangladesh and Brazil, all of which are new additions from 2014 onwards to follow many more where “Doraemon” is already a favorite figure among the children. The box office megahit of the movie “Stand by Me Doraemon” in China is still fresh in our memory, and we are very excited with high expectations for its successful launch in the UK.
