Hidden Hot Springs
Japan is known as a paradise for its world famous hot springs. The number of renowned and unrevealed hot springs found throughout Japan is seemingly countless.

This program is divided into two sections, with each section introducing one hot spring inn. The owner of the inn explains the aspects that he or she wants to particularly emphasize about the hot spring, as well as the history behind it.
The viewers are also introduced to the inn itself, along with its surroundings and delicious local dishes.

It is as if the viewers themselves are visiting the inn, together with the program's traveling hosts.

According to a survey by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Yamagata City boasts the biggest spending on ramen per household in Japan.
Even soba (Japanese noodle) restaurants list ramen on their menus! Local people love ramen and are always eager to find a new shop that serves delicious ramen.

This program is produced by Yamagata Television System once a year and features around 10 shops each time. Four (4) ramen-lovers visit the shops to taste ramen and give their reviews.

Along with the ramen, the unique backgrounds of the shop owners are also revealed.

This is the longest-running cooking program of TV Asahi reaching its 40th anniversary soon.

Masaru Doi, the legendary cook and the father of the current host Yoshiharu Doi, used to say gLove is the best ingredient in homemade cookingh.
Yoshiharu inherits this spirit and continues his search for homemade recipes suited for everyday life in Japan today. He is a culinary professional and culinary producer, whose genuine skill and knowledge together with his friendly talk attract the viewers.

Yoshiharu passes along his recipes in straightforward and easy terms, and he is very popular among Japanese housewives.

Mt. Fuji, Living with Water
Mt. Fuji, which stands across Shizuoka and Yamanashi prefectures, has now been officially registered as a World Heritage site as of June 2013.
It is called gthe mountain of waterh for its rich and pristine water. Its spring water at the surface has been nurtured in the mountain for more than 10 years after the initial rain seeped into the ground.

There are over 100 water springs at the foothills of Mt. Fuji. Once there was a threat of them drying up because of overwhelming economic growth. But the local people stood up to save the springs and the revived spring water has brought back fertile land.
Now, people utilize the springs for their everyday life on various occasions.
